Marxislamaphobia

The Islamic – Marxist alliance is real! I know… I know, that sounds absurd. Islam is an amplified example of what Marx opposed. Yet there is a similarity which brings them together, and that is control. Marxists want government to be God, and Islamists want Allah to hold that position, but both wish to absolutely control society and mold us into the image they see as desirable. 

Judeo-Christianity views the world through an entirely different lens. A lens of free-will and freedom, the reward of that ideology being promoted by their teachings. Both teaching love as a central value. “Judaism Is About Love,” “Biblical Love,” are a couple examples, but the truth is, love is the spine of both forms. Love is goodness that one chooses to do on behalf of another, and it relies on faith and hope in God.

ˆIslam is also a highly deistic concept but the goal has nothing to do with love, although they claim love as a motivation, rather it is centered on obedience, and failure to meet the requirements of Allah are met with the root of the faith, convert or destroy. The final goal being the apocalypse for which they are working to achieve. There is much debate about this principle, but the evidence is found wherever Islam exists. It is a movement of takeover which is evolving from terrorism and war, to populating and expanding from within. Europe stands as a marvelous example, and America is following, all to closely. The important point to consider is the happiness of the people. In Islam we see people converted from humaine ambitions, to an absolute takeover mentality, and the populations in such areas illustrate concepts far removed from what we see in JudeoChristian areas. In Europe crime is through the roof, particularly sexual crimes against women and children. The identity of empires such as Great Britain is being destroyed to the point that they are being fined for flying The Union Jack, the flags of Wales, Ireland and indeed any other country. People in Europe are being arrested and or extradited for comments made on social media platforms. Pray the demonic-rats don’t succeed in rewriting the U.S. Constitution, as freedom of speech is it’s essential core.

Moving from Islam to Marxism the similarities are frightening, but rather than turning authority over to a controlling diety, the diety is government. Marxism provides a fascinating study in that it has a perfect record of failure, wherever it’s been tried, and it’s open goal is communism, with socialism being the welcome mat, nevertheless a large number of the most educated people support it. Our schools have become indoctrination centers. Universities which were founded upon the principles of Christianity. Every collegiate institution founded in the colonies before the Revolutionary War – except the University of Pennsylvania – was established by some branch of the Christian church. Harvard, Yale, Northwestern University, Columbia University, Princeton, and Brown. Many actually using Christian names, St. Anne’s, St. Anthony’s, St. Mary’s, St. Bernards, St. Olafs, and many others. To say that has changed would be a monstrous understatement. While we are seeing marvelous change sparked by the work of Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA, we are also seeing just how deep the roots of hatred descend. All of that aside, the point here being the root of influence of Marxsim and its similarity to Islam.

In America today, on university campuses across the country, we are seeing pro-Hamas demonstrations. What Hamas did in Israel was horrendous, almost beyond description. Over 1200 people murdered, over 250 taken hostage. The principle victims being young, female college students and the elderly. It is important to remember that it is Islam’s goal to destroy all Jews, and then Christians. Thus it can scarcely be argued that Netanyahu’s reaction was and is totally justified (as well as Biblical). The so called peace, brought about by Donald Trump will be temporary at best. The simple, underlying truth is that if Islam is not stopped or somehow awakened to humanitarian reality, the world we know will come to an end. The apocalypse predicted by all sides, will be upon us.

In spite of the sad and obvious reality, Jewish communities around the world are being intimidated and attacked in various ways by these ridiculous pro-Hamas demonstrations. Back to the Naziesque idea that “Zionism” is the root of all evil on the planet. To me, the surprise initially was what we’re seeing going on on university campuses, but in retrospect, when looking back on antiSemitism in America, it has always been focused on by the left. From absurd, untrue reports in the NTY, and others, supporting Stalin and Hitler to the modern times when the media (propagandia) and social networks are denying that the holocaust ever happened ever happened

What is important to us, is to recogize the sad truth and focus on what Islam and the Marxists are up to. Our schools are teaching our children lies (as well as adults, I recently completed a PhD program in my old age and the Marxism is a screaming reality). It’s not a matter to shrug off, war is on!

So What!

Seems like I keep falling back on religion. Probably relative to my education as a folklorist. My PhD was in Occultism and Mythology, both of which relate to religion magnificently. Which is not to throw stones. Folklore is as real as truth can be. While both occultism and mythology are esoteric beliefs and practices, the same can be said of any religious faith.

The full spectrum of religious faiths is magnificent and touches a lot of ideological bases, Judeo-Christianity brings us down to some very reasonable concepts. My pninciple focus, when it comes to personal belief, boils down to Christianity. Another gigantic package of concepts as variable as believing you can a (L.D.S.) to believing your eternal existence will not be as a God but will be eternal. Much to consider but if we boil it down to the “red letters” (words attributed to Jesus), it all comes across as not only quite reasonable but actually doable. 

The only certainty about religious concepts is that we cannot and will never know, while still here on Earth, the truth. Many claim to, but none actually do, “know this church is true.” The Bible tells us “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” 

As a much younger fellow I actually did have a great deal of faith. My parents were wise and carefully taught me that one doesn’t pray to be rich or to beat Brad Dennis in a game of basketball. Prayer is a much more serious and contemplative process. Still, by the time i was eight years old, I knew the the mustard seed scripture was misleading at best, and the true mystery of God and religion came into focus. Now, at the ripe old age of seventy-years, I’ve discovered that when it comes to inspiring action from God, prayer is inches away from worthless. Ninety percent of the time, whatever it is I’m praying for isn’t going to happen. Thus my prayers have been followed by people and critters I love desperately, dying. And massive examples like Rush Limbaugh suffering from cancer and being prayed for by millions of people with far greater faith than mine, yet he died. Not only removing a hero in many minds, but an actual deliverer of Godly principle. Millions of faithful prayers and “nope, sorry.”

On the other hand, I have experienced actual miracles, some of which seem absurd, such as having lost all of my fly-tying tools which I hadn’t used for years, but having experienced an accident which took from me my ability to be an EMT/paramedic, which I was, and left me restrained to a wheel chair. My thought was that I could make a living tying flies. I used to be one of the world’s greatest professional fly-tyers, running High Creek Anglers and tying flies by the hundreds. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find my materials and equipment. I searched and searched till finally giving up. At this point I went to the only option left. I prayed! The next day a friend who’d been taking care of chickens on my yard came in with  a box. “Bacon, I think you need to see this. I was feeding chickens when I heard this racket and this box had fallen from the rack.” Guess what was in the box. Yep, my fly-tying equipment and materials! How the good Lord chooses which prayers to answer, or if this was just ridiculous luck, I’ll never know, but there ya go!

All of which brings me back to the point of this article, which is: so what? We can ponder and wonder and scratch our itchy skulls, but based on the vast majority of historical feedback, we’ll never know. Whatever the truth may actually be, those who believe do have certain advantages. 

For one thing, the believer is never alone! While my faith is weak in comparison to that of many I’ve known, I still talk to God. He never talks back, with one exception, and that one time, it was my own voice, in my own head, but it was a definite response to the question I was asking and well outside my inherent wisdom. Still, the point is I am never alone. When I find myself in the presence of no one, I almost always begin chatting at God, and feeling like he’s listening! Prayer also gives one a sense of control. Situations arise in which one can do nothing, nor have any actual affect, yet one can put in one’s word with God, who does have the power and capacity to do whatever he chooses. I don’t know what he’ll do, but knows what I’m hoping or fearing.

Another benefit is the words of Christ. The “Red Letters.” Guidelines for a good life. Instructions on how to live, treat others, and exercise our faith. The Red Letters house the transformative nature of Christianity. Inspiration to avoid bullying, lying, anger, and judgementalism. To engage in acts of kindness. Nothing weird here. No do not wear clothes of more than one material; No no one whose testicles are crushed…; No no praying with your head covered. Just simple wisdom. The red letters of Jesus are more than just words on a page; they are a call to action, a promise of hope, and a glimpse into the heart of God.

If you pass on and none of this turns out to be true, so what? The life you lived wss inspired.

Wrong Rally!

As Christians, particularly here in America, we see Christians as the backbone of society. And, in fact, this it is. This makes Christianity, particularly if true, the number one enemy of the darkness. 

I suppose it’s important here to point out the indisputable fact that I’m a very poor example of a Christian, though a Christian it turns out I am. The fact that I find myself writing pro-Christian articles, articles that are not of a folkloric intent, is something no one who’s known me, would ever have expected, but there ya go. While I’ve often doubted it’s truth, I’ve never doubted its stature as a foundation for life. 

What’s becoming troubling now, is the growth of negativity aimed at, not only Christianity, but Judeo-Christianity from its beginning. Globally, we are living in a time during which Christians and Judeo-Christians have become the target of direct persecution. Such has always been the case to some degree, including being a foundation of the Islamic faith, but General persecution of Judeo-Christians has never been a real, legitimate concern. That has changed. A recent report, “Aid to the Church in Need,” The report recognizes Islam as the root, but notes the expansion of this hatred by Islamists across the globe, but also an expansion of anti-Christian ideology to non-Muslim, authoritarian regimes like China, Eritrea, India Iran, and in certain aspects of the American institution.

Christians are actually being attacked, imprisoned, and tortured physically in many areas across the globe. Christians are being held in numerous countries, over 400 in Etrea, Iran, the number being held in China is in the thousands! 

What we’re looking at in the USA is an evolution of the same anti-Christian ideology following the same sort of development which has become fully advanced in the Islamic and authoritarian (Marxist) countries across the globe. The home base of this prejudice resides where so many other prejudices reside, in the Democrat party

The Democrat party is the foundation of prejudice in America, only recently taking on the concept of Christianity as an ideology to be destroyed. This can be linked, in large part to Marxism which has become popular in our education system in spite of its perfect record of failure across the globe. Marx places government in the position Christians place God. The ultimate authority. The ultimate authority being the position Democrats pursue. 

The battle against Christianity in America is rolling ahead full bore, the Democrat party using, naturally, its top weapon the “media” (propagandia). They’ve created a new concept, “Christian nationalism” as a worthy enemy to battle against. “An ‘imposter Christianity’ is threatening American democracy,” (CNN), presents the case perfectly. All lies fully intact. “America’s Becoming Less Religious. Is Politics to Blame?” (Time Magazine). You can find these articles by the dozens, leading up to political action. “Democrats pass resolution condemning ‘white religious nationalism’” in an attempt to redefine Christianity. “theocracy is incompatible with democracy and religious freedom.” Really?

Our founders, deeply Christian for the most part and deistic in the rare exceptions, pointed out the foundation of our belief in “The Declaration of Independence.” From that foundation, recognizing the foundation of our rights being not government, but a higher and indisputable authority, God, they moved on to creating a government which would be controlled by the people, doing so in an absolutely secular fashion, hoping to prohibit the very type of nonsense we are witnessing today, the God given rights being swept away to avoid “theocracy.”

I suppose all of this seems well and good until you look at the evolution our society is taking toward the dark side. The alphabet movements LGBTwhatever and then some, attempting to remove the difference between men and women. Marriage, the official binding between a man and a woman for the purpose of defined and structured family, is a dead concept. Personally, I couldn’t care less if a feller wants to be coupled with a magpie, but it isn’t marriage. Even in the case of a man hooking up with another man, they can’t produce offspring. They can certainly act as parents but it is acting. 

Worse by far is the expanding fantasy that a person’s sex has nothing to do with the sex one was born with. The idea that this is somehow some form of liberation is absolutely insane! They are taking children too young to know what sexual preference is or care and performing sexual mutilation, administering toxic drugs and applying training which a child has no need of, and to what end? The simple fact of the matter is, children who grow up with gender confusion tend to get over it naturally by the time they get through puberty. If not, they have the perfectly legitimate right to deal with it then. 

What’s happening to women’s sports? The same thing that’s happening to women, they are being erased. The absurdity of allowing men to compete in strength sports agains women is so far out there there is no way to justify it, but justify it they do indeed. Where in the Hell are the feminine activist groups? Damn good question. Almost all of humanity opposes this but it’s still going on. Demonic rats chewing on the heels of human dignity! Pride? The worst of the deadly sins has become a demonicrat celebration!

All of which leaves us with what appears to be the number one item on the demonicrat agenda, the murder of unborn children. Scientifically speaking new life begins at the moment of conception. The debate here is endless, but the simple fact is, if nothing gets in the way after the instant of conception, a child will be born. Scientific and philosophical debate goes on and on, but the simple fact remains. So, no matter how you look at it, abortion is murder. I’m old enough to remember when abortion was rumor. Something that happened in the back alleys conducted by criminals. When allowing abortion became a talked about topic people of my generation and older laughed about it. The idea that a person could simply go to the doctor and have a pregnancy ended was debated only on the level of protecting the mother from health issues or in cases of rape or abuse. As a simple matter of convenience it wasn’t even a consideration. 

Knowing the truth of the situation, which is undeniable, that abortion is murder, how is it that it became not only accepted but the number one motivation of a political party which represents a large percentage of the American population? The rigged search engines make it impossible to determine what the actual percentage is, and apparently its changing since many democrats are currently moving to the right, but whatever the percentage is, it’s huge. The propagandia and rigged search engines cloud the issue but it’s quite apparent that while they may debate paying for sex change operations for prison inmates (yes, this is a current debate that is actually being made, and is supported by Kamala), When it comes to abortion there is NO ROOM for debate. The propagandia and rigged search engines are feeding us the concept, “Abortion as a moral good” (The Lancet). “Abortion Rights Are Good Health Care and Good Science” (Scientific American). “Four Ways Access to Abortion Improves Women’s Well-Being” (Greater Good Magazine). And on and on it goes.

“Too many people in America believe that if you are pro-choice that means pro-abortion. It doesn’t. I don’t want abortion. Abortion should be the rarest thing in the world. I am actually personally opposed to abortion. But I don’t believe that I have a right to take what is an article of faith to me and legislate it to other people. That’s not how it works in America” (John F. Kerry). I’m opposed to elder abuse, but I don’t believe that I have a right to take what is an article of faith to me and legislate it to other people. “I have met thousands and thousands of pro-choice men and women. I have never met anyone who is pro-abortion” (HilLiary Clinton). You’d have to explain that to me.

Is There a God?

The big question: Is there a God? And, ultimately, what difference does it make? My religious experience is as weird as it is rich and full. I understand the concept of faith because as a youth, I had it. The strong belief in something without requiring proof. I knew as surely as I knew anything that God was there and that when I prayed, I was talking to God. In the years since, my faith has degraded to hope, and even that is sketchy. The simple and certain fact is that if there is no God, it doesn’t matter. There would be no eternity of regret or happiness, nor anything else of a cognitive nature. It would simply be lights out. The possibilities, on the other hand, if there is a God, are endless, from an eternity of bliss, to becoming one with all others, depending on the faith you follow. But in terms of how it affects us here in the life we know, whether there actually is a God or not, makes no difference. Millions of prayers offered by the most pious among us, go unanswered. Rush Limbaugh dies of cancer, Islam continues to expand and grow, millions die of starvation, thousands of children go missing, still, the praying continues.

Whaever the reality may be in terms of God’s actual existance, the belief in a God, is, on the other hand, a completely different matter. We’ve recently been going through a period during which the belief in God has been fading significantly. A period that illuminates for us the value that resides in belief. Consider the ideology that has spread worldwide, which we refer to as “liberalism,” although it has nothing to do with what liberalism is. The father of classic liberalism was John Locke, an English philosopher from the late 1600s. His was a concept that emphasizes individual rights, liberty, and the cooperation of the governed. Where modern “liberalism” differs from his ideal rests in his idea that our rights are natural. (Recommended reading: “Two Treatises of Government ~John Locke) Locke listed the right to life, liberty, and property. Thomas Jefferson substituted happiness for property to extend importance to matters beyond personal wealth. In classical liberalism, these rights were seen as granted by God and thereby beyond the authority of government to remove or modify them. Modern liberals, on the other hand, have a much more complex view, but place government at the head of not only protecting and distributing these rights, but in deciding what these rights are. They being defined and directed by one’s government. A concept that is imperative in the promotion of communism, thus the importance of atheism in the ideologies of Marx, Lenin, Castro, Stalin, Che Guevara…

While moving away from the Godly premise in terms of rights, we also moved away from Godly concepts in terms of behavior. With no God and no scriptural significance to sway us, things like population lose spiritual significance. Rather than spiritual entities, people have nothing to elevate themselves above anything else. Thus your little girl has no more value than a canary, outside of your personal feelings towards her. Abortion, rather than being the sin of murdering unborn human beings, is sold as a positive. Good for the mothers, good for the child who might be born to negative circumstances, and good for society at large. Since 1973 well over 65 million unborn children have been murdered in America alone! Over  20 million worldwide so far this year! We have leftist politicians working to force American taxpayers to fund abortions worldwide! 

We also have the very people who claim an affinity for feminism supporting the prejudiced action of allowing men to compete against women in athletics. Somehow, they labor under the illusion that a man wanting to be a woman makes it so. It is both amusing and horrifying that liberals asked to define and describe what a woman is. can’t (won’t) do so. “A woman is anyone who wants to be a woman.” To these amazing geniuses, X and Y chromosomes are irrelevant. Being a woman, to them has nothing to do with the ability to have a baby, nothing to do with the menstrual cycle, and nothing to do with having a vagina.

I love watching Charlie Kirk interviewing students on university campuses, asking the question, “What is a woman?” Very rarely does one of them come up with an answer that has anything to do with reality. To the children on our university campuses, a woman is a person who calls him/her/itself a woman. They do have the wisdom to note that calling oneself a walrus is absurd, but that absurdity ends when it comes to the difference between men and women. Who would’ve imagined a time in which, or a population for whom, defining what a woman would become so difficult? 

Another of the great mysteries is teaching children that they can and should choose their sex. Allowing children who are too young to know what sexual preference is, or even to care about it, and convincing them that they should be the sex that they aren’t. Jimmy plays with Barbie dolls so, obviously, we much cut off his penis and put him on a hormone regimen, doing irreparable damage to the child upon whom it is applied. Turning little girls into boys presents a much more complicated problem, but that doesn’t stop ‘em.

This absurd concept that there is no real difference between men and women brings us to the ludicrous position we are in right now, in which men are allowed to compete against women in sports! Thus we have women’s athletic records be crushed by men pretending to be women. A concept so absurd it’s not only difficult for a rational, cognative person to comprehend, it is dangerous for the female athletes being forced to compete against men. The solution seems simple, just refuse to compete. However we are talking about girls whose life’s ambition has been to compete. To simply sit out events is out of the question. Her athletic record is corrupted, and beyond that, in the bizarre Marxist educational world we suffer with today, these ladies are punished! We have cases here in America in which a female athlete who refused to compete against a man has been disqualified

All of this is as pure a form of discrimination as one could imagine. This fits in nicely with the history of the demonicrat party in America, which entered the Civil War to keep Black Americans in slavery. Who fought to keep both Black and female Americans from voting. Who went to absurd lengths in the attempt to stop the passage of the Civil Rights Amendments. Going as far as using firehoses and attack dogs against children! Of course, they now claim that Republicans have since become Demonicrats and vice versa in one of the most easily disprovable lies ever foisted upon American society.

“Some are evil, some are stupid, some are evil AND stupid… There exist people on earth who are just plain evil, who will destroy other people’s lives for their own personal gain.  That describes the Democratic Party leadership” (Mark Lewistownhall.com). There are those, including me, who feel like this evil is inspired by something rather dark and of a purely spiritual nature. Were there some way to apply logic to the absurdities, the battle against civil rights, the boys can be girls nonsense, the drive to abort as many children as possible, but there is no sane logic to apply. As an old biker (NO, not the spandex variety), I’m not one you’d expect to see things from a religious perspective, but I don’t know where else to look. When I refer to them as demonic-rats, it’s well beyond humorous mudslinging, it’s the only suitable logic I can see. 

Don’t get me wrong, as an academic, I became friends with many demonicrats who seem to be fine and intelligent people, but they all have one thing in common. While they get along with me very well (I’m guessing that has something to do with me being a long haired, disabled hippie in a wheelchair), they won’t even attempt to discuss their liberal viewpoints. They just roll their eyes, say, “oh Bacon,” and walk away. These aren’t mean, evil, or stupid people, as one would expect them to be based on the ideology they support. They are fine, wonderful people.

Interestingly, as a biker, I’ve had a lot of friends who are genuine outlaws, yet their political ideology is quite the opposite of that of the academics. They organize in groups to support ideals such as Bikers Against Child Abuse, and Bikers for Trump (both of which I’m a member of). The concepts the liberals hold are looked upon as a joke. There is no way a male biker would compete against a woman in a physical competition, with the possible exception of drinking whiskey. It doesn’t take much imagination to visualize the biker reaction to the sexual mutilation of children!

Which of these groups would a belief in God affect? And, what effect would that have upon this country? And what are we to do? Pray!

Biblical Ponderations

Tis rather odd that I, a lifelong outlaw who always imagined himself a biker (NO, not the spandex variety), find myself as a writer focusing so much attention on matters Biblical. My upbringing was unusual, to say the least. Born to a non-LDS family in an almost completely LDS town, in an almost completely LDS state. The mystery of it all, distilled by the experiences the situation provoked, left me rather doubtful of, yet fascinated by Biblical concepts. I pendulated toward and away from the religious ideals that were the ideological foundation that my friends and I grew up surrounded by. I ended up quite solidly grounded in the fantasy of being an outlaw. I did have a rather close brush with religion during which I actually and honestly qualified for a Temple Recommend, got “sealed” with my wife, and began attending Temple ceremonies, which ended up scaring me away. Tis a long irrelevant story. In any case, like many who fall away from LDS doctrine, I drifted towards atheism to the point of claiming to be one, which I never was.

My religious evolution led through years of intense study of Christian philosophy and Biblical study, yet my level of doubt left me an agnostic, all of which guided me toward my interest in and study of folklore (BS in creative writing, MA in Humanities/Folklore, PhD in Humanities/Mythology and Occultism). 

My interest in politics in the form of classical liberalism is inherent. John Locke, the father of liberalism, who wouldn’t recognize the “liberalism” being promoted on our university campuses and our media (propagandia), hugely inspired our Founders. John Locke’s justification of revolt was based on what he perceived as our natural rights. The tasty concept that our rights are inherent and not granted by a government. Our Declaration of Independence can be said to have condensed Locke’s fundamental argument into a few hundred words. It also reveals the true nature of the Founders, which was based on Christianity and/or deism. From the highly spiritual proposition of our Declaration of Independence, the founders moved on to secularism in setting up the boundaries of our government, the Constitution.

Be that as it may, my political interest led me to a deeper consideration of the motivations behind what I see as one of the most corrupt, self-interested organizations on the planet, the Democrat party. Whatever one thinks of Judeo-Christian concepts, the Democrat party is organized against those concepts. A civil war to maintain slavery, A battle to restrict Black and female Americans from voting, the Trail of Tears, the Palmer Raids, Japanese internment camps, fire hoses and dogs used against children during the demonicrat fight against civil rights for Black America, the list goes on and on. And currently, the battle to support, finance and expand abortion; girls can be boys and boys can be girls, and we’ll cut off penises and administer hormone treatments to children too young to know or care about sexual preference; men allowed to compete against women in athletic events, what the Hell logic or rational justifies any of that?

An important consideration, which is an element of all existence, is that nothing happens without cause. Darwin’s finches adapted for a reason that had nothing to do with the ideological concept of evolution. The finches didn’t become snails, nor did lizards become finches. There are a lot of nonsensical explanations for the Civil War, i.e., States’ rights, but it was fought in the attempt to maintain slavery. From there, the democrats (I’ll refer to them as demonicrats) moved on to attempting to prohibit Black and female Americans from voting, the development of the KKK to bring their racist discrimination to a new, and even lower, level. Wherever my agnosticism had taken me, it became obvious that there had to be an evil involved that is beyond simple ignorance and stupidity. A hatred from outside the realm of human reasoning. As one investigates the mystery, it becomes apparent that, like it or not, Satan fits the bill quite nicely.

In light of that concept, the absurdities begin to make more sense. There is absolutely no logic nor justification for sexually mutilating children too young to know or care about sexual preference. It is certainly a pure evidence of the presence of an evil force driving people to an absurdity no imagination is likely to muster on its own.

All of which illuminates the irrational hatred held by demonicrats and others for Donald Trump. Before his first run, he was respected and held in a positive light by most Americans, but after his trip down the escalator, he found himself in a world of hatred difficult to comprehend. A hatred that has come to be called “Trump derangement syndrome.” As a political commentator, I spend hours interacting with people who hate Donald Trump, and in all these interactions, I push for some logic. “Why do you hate Donald Trump?” “What has he done that justifies you despising him as you do?” In nine years, in hundreds of discussions, I’ve not gotten a single logical explanation. Plenty of name-calling, “he’s a liar,” “he’s a misogynist,” “he’s a fascist,” (most not knowing what a fascist is), “he’s a threat to democracy,” “he’s an egotistical asshole,” but in all that time, not a single attempt at an actual explanation. In any non-political exchange, such is not the case. Most people can explain why they don’t like the Beatles without employing insults.

Which brings us back to the Biblical aspect of all of this. On October 6, Israelis were living in a time of peace. A time that was obliterated by the horrendous, inhumane terrorist attack on October 7. “For I will give the command, and I will shake the people of Israel among all the nations as grain is shaken in a sieve, and not a pebble will reach the ground.” (Amos 9:9) “The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:1-3) And what is going on in the world today? What will become of the leftist anti-Semites on our university campuses? The anti-Semites in our Congress?

And the desperately hated Donald Trump delivers unwavering support for Israel. “The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.” (Proverbs 12:15) The way of demonicrats seems rather obviously inspired from below.

The Mark(x) of Modernity

I’ve always been fairly resistant to the concept of religion, but now, in the elderly condition I’ve achieved, I’ve come to the notion that even if there is no actual truth to it, religion lies at the base of everything humanity does. The principles of Judeo-Christianity are simple and effectively promote a humanitarian existence to all involved. There seems, logically, to be little reason to fight against the principles. Yet fight against them, many do. 

One of the most effective ideologies conflicting with this positive interest of any traditional religion, is Marxism. One of the principle concepts used to sell Marxism is a critique of the most prominent and successful economic ideology in history, capitalism. Marxism paints “the worker,” (the prime beneficiary of capitalism), into a position of victimhood. Victims of the capitalists who exploit them in order to profit in some way from their labor. The Marxist goal being to convert society from a capitalist ideology to communism. This removal of society from capitalism, necessitates a change of private ownership of business enterprises over to a “public” ownership. Which, of course, doesn’t and hasn’t and never will, happen. Rather we see conversion from private, to government ownership. It is all, actually, far more complex, but this is the basis. One of the principalities of this change is the reduction of individualism and reduction of the importance of unique human souls. Thus the concepts of Biblical Judeo-Christianity are diametrically opposed to Marxist principle.

Thus, problematic to the concept of Marxism are such Biblical principles as the nuclear family. The traditional family value system promotes values and principle directly oppositional to Marxist principle such as parental rights and authority over the children of a family and the passage of belongings and wealth from one generation of family to the the next. The education of children becomes in Marxism, a state principle. Home education is out of the question, which we see has become rather the rule in America. 

Government becomes the ultimate authority, no room being left for such ideological nonsense as Bibles, churches, evangelism and so forth. Certainly no Jesus Christ, Popes, Saints and such. The ultimate authority left standing in the shoes of a God, is government. Example of this are to be found in every Communist society, and the movement toward such is present in all socialist societies as well.

Falling by the wayside is private property ownership. The Biblical premise of the individual right to own private property and the command for believers to create wealth to promote God’s covenant  Oh me! Progressive taxation opposing the biblical principle that all people, irrespective of their income, should pay the same percentage which is a “flat tax.” Oh my! Freedom of speech enjoya zero consideration, the state being in complete control of all interpersonal exchanges. hmmm… Sounds familiar, no?

On the face of it, particularly to Judeo-Christians, it all seems too completely bizarre for consideration, Satanic in fact. However dark, mysterious and evil it seems to be, the societal evolution toward Marxism has been going on for a century. To a great extent Marx’s principles, presented in “The Communist Manifesto,” have become official policy in the USA. What I refer to as “the demonicrat party,” has been openly promoting those principles for decades. Our “education” system has gone far beyond hinting, to absolute promotion of of Marxist principles including a series of lies such as climate change (which is natural rather than man made); bald faced Marxist principles like critical race theory. Absolute falsehoods which contribute to the dumbing down of American students as well as the indoctrination it was designed to foster and is accomplishing quite nicely.

It was during this “educational” extravaganza that I became aware of a Marxist sidestream, “cultural Marxism.” This is a vast simplification of a complex evolution, but pure economic Marxism was failing for simple and obvious reasons and so, had to be replaced with more complex and variable alternatives. Much more complex ideologies like personal identity. including aspects like race, sexuality, religion, nationality. The idea of working and ruling class being made severely more complicated and, essentially, left behind. 

It had been decades since my previous studies so I was astonished by the differences I saw. The focus of the professors had evolved from an appreciation of performance, to notice of liberally approved behaviors. The class “stars,” tended to be liberal lesbians. The more liberal the better. My being a hard-core conservative would’ve spelled doom, but I had the advantage of being an old, long-haired hippie in a wheelchair with a Service Dog, and I was careful, for the most part, to keep rational political, and behavioral principles to myself. So I made it through, earning a BS in Creative Writing, MA in humanities (Folklore) and finally a PhD also in humanities (Mythology and Occultism). That being an aside, another notable Marxist principle of my educational experience was the Marxism. I had more than one professor who openly promoted the fact that they were, what they called, “neo-Marxists,” Neo-Marxism comes under the broader framework of the New Left. In a sociological sense, neo-Marxism adds a broader understanding of social inequality, such as status and power, to Marxist philosophy. Beyond the mystery of it, I didn’t care, I wanted to become Dr. Bacon, and earning that at the hands of pserudoreligionists was and still is, fine with me, although it saddens me that our “education” system has come down to this.

The bottom line important portion of this is that the anti-religion aspect of Marxism was in full effect. While the lost essence of folklore is that it is neither true nor false. It is the lore of whatever folk group is in question. In terms of folk groups, USU has gone from the hard-core Mormon college environment of my youth, to a full blown Marxist institution of today. The irony of it is that while in Marxism there can be no God, the religious aspect of the question is every bit as potent as any deistic concept imaginable, and the God in this case, is liberalism as it breathes and breeds in the church of the demonic rats. Whatever truth there is or isn’t, we’re all praying to our own Gods, and the God of governmental power is a mighty one indeed! Thus, in spite of my intended abstinence, I find myself dancing in full to the music of divine principle, but doing so without the blindfold of modernity.

The Trumpet Has Been Blown

It’s been quite clear for some time now that what we used to think of as America, has passed. There are many, me included, who believe that America was ordained by a higher power. Our Declaration of Independence makes it quite clear that our founders saw that same vision. “to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them.” “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” “appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions.” There can be no doubt that right or wrong, they saw our rights as bestowed upon us, not by government, but by God.

Sadly, I’m not qualified to forward the intentions of God, nor to pretend any expertise. I have lived my life as an outlaw and for most of that life gave little consideration to the existence of a God. But being a folklorist from well before the time I became formally “educated” in the field, I had a fascination for ancient texts, the older and more obscure the better. Not out of any fascination with the concept of deity so much as out of the arc of curiosity that burned in me about the behavior of humanity. Although it is not obscure, the Bible paints a pretty clear picture of what educated or knowledgable people of that age believed to be important. I must admit, much of it seems absurd, but if one takes advantage of the red letter versions of the New Testament, the basis is both simple and quite explicit and it boils down to a topic that is certainly in red letters in my personal ideology, and that principle is freedom! Biblical freedom comes, as does all freedom, at the expense of responsibility. Thus, the magnificence of the Biblical form of freedom which includes freedom from a gigantic array of possible infections, many referred to Biblically, as “sin.”

This freedom has been the driving goal of humanity for as far back as that goal could be expressed. AND if the concept of Christianity carries any weight, that driving force is to be extinguished by the opponents of the powers guiding us towards it. And so it is! We all have our, so called, crosses to bear, but there are forces out there specifically driven to stand in the way of freedom. Such forces have always existed. Biblically speaking, examples would be the Pharasees, Saducees. Essenes, Herodians and the Zealots. They varied from one another in many ways. The important thing to remember is they all had good points, but were ultimately wrong in their philosophies. So many similarities exist today. Religiously we have such as Islam, which refers to itself as the religion of peace, or the Democrat Party which sells itself as being completely humanitarian.

The problem with any ideology is that it is carried by humans and one of the most foundational Biblical teachings is that humanity is corrupt by its very nature. Thus the “religion of peace,” has an ample history of terrorism and violence and its roots can be found in their scripture, Q8:60 advises Muslims “to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know.” The Quran and the Hadith promote violence, gender inequality, and discrimination against other faiths. We have ample example in the recent attach by Hamas. They went after young ladies and old persons and the horrors of the attacks are absolutely gruesome. They station military operations behind children and beneath hospitals. They certainly appear to be fostering the will of Satan.

As evil as Hamas is, I think there is an organized evil in America which may be even worse, and that is the Democrat party. They started out with the battle against freedom, in the attempt to maintain the slavery of Black Americans in the Civil War, which they lost, but proceeded directly into attempting to deny the vote to both Black and female Americans. An article covering the atrocities of what I refer to as the demonicrat party would fill volumes and you are probably already aware of most of it.

The strongest evidence of the dark power driving the demonicrat party is the endless and constant dishonesty. It is hard to deny that the Father of Lies would be proud of the demonicrat party. The list of lies consists of everything they say or do. One would be hard pressed to find anything Joe Biden (a desperately evil creature) has said that’s true. His lies are so absurd it is a slap in the face of all Americans that the world sees it going on! 

I refer to Joe Biden as Pedo-Joe, it is said that his family refers to him as Pedo-Peter. In any case, while I don’t believe he has the capacity to be in charge of anything beyond sniffing children, he is still the so-called leader of his party. What’s gone on under he and his predecessor, The oBama, is horrifying. The entire structure of American government seems to have collapsed. The Department of Justice and the FBI have become demonicrat tools. A horrifying example is the Jan. 6 protests. After months of bombings, arson, beatings, rapes and vandalism in blue cities across the country an actual peace protest takes place in DC and people are still being held in jail three years later. Charges against Donald Trump that are so absurd it defies all logic, yet the court found him guilty. No complaints, no one damaged, I’m not sure if they ever did actually state what it was that Trump did wrong. And now they’re cracking down on more member of their opposition. Steve Bannon was sentenced to time in prison, his offense? Refusal to participate in the crime going on against the Jan. 6 protestors. Peter Navarro is doing time for the same thing. One of the most absurd actions being taken against opponents of the demonicrats is the case against Alex Jones. Jones did indeed go over the edge in his suspicion about the Sandy Hook affair. An event for which he admits his error and for which he apologized, but Jones is one of the big guns from the right, so the repercussions need to be severe, and severe they are indeed! Alex Jones is no billionaire, but the fine for his Sandy Hook misadventure was one and a half BILLION dollars! Of course this is putting Jones and his Infowars (a marvelous institution) out of business. And no, it doesn’t end here. Cases are up against many others. Dominion who manufactures voting machines that are programable (absurd) and were designed for rigging elections which they have done. “While these vulnerabilities present risks that should be mitigated as soon as possible, CISA has no evidence that these vulnerabilities have been exploited in any elections,” the fact that these risks even exist is all we need. Dinesh D’Souza is being sued over “2000 Mules,” which presents undeniable evidence of vote rigging, so he must be put out of business! On and on it goes.

On the bright side. America is waking up. These absurdities are so overwhelming that Americans who have been victims of the demonicrat party are looking at their history and realizing that they’ve been living a lie. “I’ll have those n—gers voting Democrat for 200 years.” LBJ in reference to the “Great Society” lie that practically destroyed Black American Families. Jewish Americans are seeing that the American home of antiSemitism is the demonicrat party. We even have members of congress pushing the “from the river to the sea” crap about destroying Israel. It was the Republicans that delivered the Civil Rights Act, with demonicrats fighting against it all the way. Our Marxist universities are revealing themselves with protests in favor of people who throw homosexuals off rooftops, who rape girls and young boys, and make movies of it and laugh, people who are committed to destroying everyone who believes differently than them. There is hope brothers and sisters. And right now that hope is a felon! Heroic outlaws indeed!

Tolerance

Sadly, I’ve been pretty intolerant of what I refer to as “demonicrats.” The fact is that as an academic, I’ve been surrounded by commie-libs a great deal of the time. While I still believe the father of the demonicrat religion is Satan, that doesn’t make his followers evil so much as misguided, and I can think of no exceptions to the fact that my commie-lib friends, and yes, I’ve even got family who are members, are magnificent, caring, and loving people.

I’ve attempted to get various people to explain what it is that attracts them to the faith. So far, not even one has attempted to make an explanation. They say, “Oh Bacon,” roll their eyes and move forward in their arena of ideology. When I get specific, “what’s the deal with abortion?” they get angry. No specifics, just anger. “Reproductive freedom?” What the Hell is that? The right to have sex and murder the result? I suppose it is unfortunate that a woman becomes responsible for a life other than her own when she becomes pregnant, but that is indeed the case. More respect is given to an adopted pup than to an unborn human being.

Forgetting about all the obvious and healthy organizations working specifically for Satan, what’s going on is nothing new. Dante’s poem, “The Divine Comedy,” tracks a descent through nine levels of Hell. Many of the figures in his poem were real life politicians of his day. More than 200 people were executed for witchcraft during the Salem Witch Trial era. Religious persons doing the devil’s work. Daniel Defoe, famous for “Robinson Crusoe,” also wrote, “The Political History of the Devil,” where he claims that Lucifer manipulates world events and politics both in his own form and by possessing the minds and bodies of his allies. He saw the Catholic Church as friends and coworkers of the devil, and held the Crusades as evidence.

At the head of this argument lies the question, does Satan exist? Like most everything in the spiritual world, we don’t, and can’t, know. The evidence, however, seems rather potent. Look at what’s happening in our “liberal” world. It’s very moniker, “liberal” is stolen from a purely capitalistic and free-market oriented ideology which they’ve bastardized into the complete opposite of that defining principle. Looking at Biblical principles, liberalism is steadfastly against them all. The Democrat party’s number one apparent principle, they refer to as “reproductive rights,” which I and the Bible, see not as a right, rather a series of responsibilities.

Assuming, as I do, that there is a Satan, doesn’t leave us in the dark. The debate we undergo today which ridicules spirituality of a deistic nature, hasn’t always been the case, thus history of the concept of Satan is ample. To begin with, a title he has earned, The Father of Lies: John tells us that Satan “has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him” (John 8:44). Satan disguises himself in illusions of righteousness and light. “Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is not strange if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness” (2 Corinthians 11:13–15). One of the factors of Marxism which make it so dangerous is it’s denial of the existence of God, which it replaces with the existence of government which it predicts will devolve itself out of existence. I know, I know, absurd. 

Those who don’t believe in any of this find themselves victim to another of Satan’s majesties, he blinds the minds of unbelievers. Thus he not only spreads the lies, he hides the truth. The result of which we so commonly see around us in the world today, a ridicule of the concept of righteousness. The concept of being morally correct and justifiable is seen as jocular by people who, for example place no value on the core aspects of ones given sexuality. “He plays with Barbie dolls so it’s apparent we should remove his penis. She likes to climb trees so we must perform the most absurd form of surgery to give her a penis (a weird non functional version of one) and a full course of hormone treatments.” All of this while knowing that once having gone through puberty this sexual curiosity typically comes to a natural end. In spite of the decades of women’s rights battles, we now have men competing against women in athletic competitions! What could be more absurd and repercussive? If the trend continues, I’m afraid we’ll soon find out.

All of which brings me back to the bottom line, my commie-lib friends are magnificent, caring, and loving people, so how does it come to this? In looking at human behavior regardless of religious backgrounds we all have our own natural desires and weaknesses, and it is these things that Satan uses against us. Innocent desires such as the need for food or companionship can easily be twisted into overindulgence or unhealthy relational dependence. We all have specific weaknesses which vary greatly from one person to another and which tend to appear in the form of hunger for action which the righteous would consider sinful. One of the principle aspects of our weakness, ironically, lives in our ego and pride, which above all else can easily lead us to justify feeding the fire of Hell, as it were. Even the most righteous of us live in a world of such impressions as “my church is true,” “Pope Francis gives us the word of God.” “I’m right and you’re wrong.” Along with the simple truth that agnosticism or even atheism are also religions just as potent as whatever faith one choses.

So, it all boils down to a trait I’m lacking, tolerance. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34). “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone” (Romans 12:18). “And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’” (Matthew 22:39). Our hope boils down to faith in our reward. So, no matter how bizarre it may seem there is purpose in our divide. Political differences bring out the best and the worst in us. Perhaps an exercise in utilizing his advice, “quick to listen,” and “slow to speak.” “But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.’” 

Thus the answer is not hatred nor belittlement, it is conversion. Which brings to mind an experience from fifty years ago. A time at which my political ideology was yet to become a serious consideration. I’d recently heard Rush Limbaugh on the radio (another marvelous story) who had introduced me ideologically to one of his principle inspirations, William F. Buckley, Jr. Shortly after that, I heard Buckley was going to give a presentation at U.S.U. which I attended. His presentation was amazing and miles away from what I expected; such as his opposition to the drug war! After his presentation he did a question and answer session with the students. This was where my eyes were opened. The student would ask a question and Buckley would ponder it with obvious interest and say something like, “I see your point, but,” and here he would give a thoroughly grounded and unemotional response which made the student’s proposal look completely absurd, and this he did without being offensive in any way. I don’t know how this affected others there, but for me this, combined with the absolutely inhumane treatment I’d seen directed at veterans returning from Vietnam, resulted in an absolute conversion to conservatism which has been amplified by everything I’ve witnessed in the political and ideological world ever since.

As a natural born rebel and an outlaw, both ideologically and genetically, tolerance is not an aspect of my nature.

Bow Down

It always comes back to this… religion. My religious background is certainly not the ordinary. I grew up in a hard-core LDS community in an almost exclusively LDS town in a state founded by The Church. There were two families in the community that I’m aware of that were non-Mormon. Mine being one of them. My father grew up in the same town and decided to raise his son (me) as a Mormon, and he married a Mormon of the highest gauge. I don’t know how old I was when I first realized there were people who were not LDS, but by that time I’d been inoculated and like everyone around me, knew “This Church is true!”

I grew up in the days of the Civil Rights revolution, in a very racist community. At that time the LDS church wouldn’t allow Blacks to hold the priesthood. We were taught in Sunday School that one day Blacks (they were, of course, referred to as “negroes” or “niggers”) would become righteous and that their skin would then pale and they will then be allowed to hold the priesthood. It was this prejudice that drove me away at a young age. My father had none of the anti-Black prejudice and he would sit with me during news broadcasts of the race riots which were going on at the time, and explain the actual situation Black America was facing. Martin Luther King, Jr. often appeared, and Dad would point out the truths the man was forwarding. The hope of a racially blind society. The point of the irrelevance of skin color was driven home over and over again, amplifying the fact that The Church didn’t share that humanitarian point of view and that they were wrong. Though my faith in The Church passed away completely in time, this didn’t kill it. But did deposit a large question mark.

What remains in me is a massive hope. The ideology of Christianity holds the solution for every problem we face. Just the simple, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” When one considers what it would require to forfeit one’s life the way he did. A way that literally goes beyond comprehension when one considers the interaction between Jesus and God in the Garden of Gethsemane. If humanity followed that commandment alone, every problem society faces would be gone. Not just the spiritual problems, all problems would be dealt with.

As much as the secularists hate it, America is a country built upon the shoulders of faith. And done so in a stunning way. The Declaration of Independence holds the root of our motivation. “to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them,” “..all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” There can be no doubt they were seeing the World through a Biblical scope. 

When it comes to The Constitution, the spiritual concept is supplanted by the concept of secular control. Thus eliminating the argument of is there, or is there not a God. What it does is not imbue religion, nor control the government. Our Constitution has nothing to do with controlling the people, which is why so many of the powers that be don’t like it.

Here’s where it matters. Here’s the reason to behave as though you do believe, whether you actually do believe or not. The known history of humanity is replete, at least in the caae of Judeo-Christianity, with the stronger the faith, the happier the people. If you have a graph of America that shows belief in Christianity and another depicting the level of criminal behavior, actually, in any civilization you care to reference, the graphs will mirror opposite images. Where belief is highest, criminal behavior is lowest. Modern “behaviorists” try to deny this, but those of us who’ve acquired the years, such as myself, of 70 or so, will need no reference other than memory to expose the truth of this concept. My little town of Richmond, Ut, back in my youth, simply had no crime. There were, of course, unpleasantries, such as a child being beaten too severely or a drunk running his car into a lamppost. But no one locked the door of their home. Most folks left the car key in the ignition when they left the car. Pickup trucks had gun racks in the rear window, with guns in the rack and the doors left unlocked. Examples go on and on, but the bottom line is that Judeo-Christian ethics form a moral foundation for billions of people throughout the world.

Personally, I suffer from a weakness of faith. Ironically, I actually died and during my time in the hospital, I reported meeting with people who had passed before me. A very common report, but sadly, in my case I’ve no memory of the actual events. Those I spoke to say I was absolutely convincing, but I can’t remember, and as a highly experienced creative writer, it is easy to believe I made it all up. A frustration amplified by knowing of all those who had similar experiences but do remember. Faith would be no challenge at all. However, faith or no, the result of such beliefs is absolutely proven and is the foundation of the “Declaration of Independence,” which resulted in, although secular, the great Constitution of the United States of America. The greatest bastion of freedom the world has ever known which is under direct, open attack by the Globalists, who want to usurp our economy, and the demonicrats, who seem to revel in the destruction of personal freedom. Well… outside of the freedom of perversion. They do honor what they see as the freedom to kill the unborn, the freedom to sexually mutilate children too young to know what sexual preference is, the freedom to allow drag queens to perform in grade schools. Parents who favor removal of pornographic literature from grade school libraries are accused of banning books, as though the books chosen to be eliminated from grade schools can no longer be obtained anywhere else. Say what you will, but it certainly seems Satanic to me.

What America needs is obvious. It is the support of Jesus, the absolute master of peace!

Christianity

I’ve had a lifelong struggle with religion. Believer? Don’t believer? Yes today, no tomorrow, I don’t know on Wednesday. A religion I’d grown up surrounded by yet doubting soundly, eventually got its hooks in me. I think the fact that I’d grown up such a rebel, surrounded by family that didn’t believe this particular faith, ended up arming me with the fortitude I needed to shake the hook. I now see that faith as absolutely ridiculous, yet I know very intelligent people who believe it, absolutely.

Seems if we grant power to a God, ANYTHING is possible, yes? Even the illogical, yes? Even the impossible? ABSOLUTELY! You see, we have Satan here making the truth look bad, so the truth I recognize is under constant attack by a magical, demonic, entity of immense power, so naturally it’s hard for you to see the truth. Apparently God likes the controversy since he doesn’t step in to correct it. This is why we call it a “test”.

But why does the being of ultimate power, wisdom and understanding, who knows everything, sees the future, knows the end before the beginning, and has no limitations outside of following the laws he, himself created, need to test anything?

Well, he’s doing it for us. Can a God not simply “inject” us with the wisdom needed? Apparently not. Instead he/she/it creates us, places here, gives us an obscure, endlessly debatable, non-provable, illogical, difficult set of guidelines, which he places in the hands of human “messengers/profits/philosophers” to pass on to the rabble and himself, makes no appearance (except to Moses & Joseph Smith). And why? Well, that depends on which messenger/profit/philosopher/scientist/witchdoctor/hoodoo-guru you decide is correct and choose to believe.

Interestingly, I was visited yesterday by a good friend, Jesse, who is a “Christian”.  He doesn’t use the label “born-again” but I figure that’s where he stands. We’ve had many “religion” discussions in the past, some of which have been almost frightening, in terms of his attachment to reality. He uses a lot of words to say little…  hmm..  does this make me a hypocrite? Still I hold him in high regard. Yesterday he pointed out what he sees as a mistake made by many, the belief that there is a price for redemption.

This places me at the doorstep of a big mystery… Redemption from what? Did God create fallen beings? Was there some sort of pre-existence during which we fell? Is our own simple existence somehow faulty? Were we some sort of mistake? Whatever the answer is, it has to be God’s fault, which would make “redemption” God’s duty (by any typical ethical standard).

Jesse didn’t make this particular argument but the end result, the fact that there is no price for redemption, makes perfect sense in light of this logic. “Bacon, don’t look at it as making a trade. Redemption is done. What you’ve done in the past, and what you’ll do in the future is irrelevant.”

Not having a particularly firm belief in Christ’s actual existence, particularly the deity aspect, I’ve yet been magnificently impressed by his story.  The last days in particular. The suffering he endured at the hands of the very people he was suffering for. Even the aspect that I can comprehend weighed against his ability to end it at any time. Mercy amplified!

Although a great deal of the most horrible atrocities in history have been performed in his name, the example he set in the story is peerless mercy, nobility unequaled. Even if Christ is fantasy or fiction, following his example could only be good. Christ performed miracles of mercy and didn’t require payment. There are no examples of “I’ll cure you if you pay your tithing, if you go to church, if you go on sinlessly…” Nope, what he said was, “freely ye received, freely give.” He did, however say, “your faith has healed you”. So the closest thing I see to a price is belief or faith and I don’t know if even that is attached to redemption. If we are indeed the products of a deity, belief seems a small price to pay for redemption.

Unfortunately, due to a lifetime of being surrounded by multitudinous misrepresentations, a great many conducted by the “religious”, my belief vault is empty. Nevertheless, I deeply respect the principles Christ represents and so I’ll go forward and believe as best I can, follow as nearly as possible the example of humanity set by Christ.
