The greatest mystery of all time seems human behavior. Not that I hold myself as an example worthy of the striving for, but I have the capacity to recognize and admire unlikely success. We are currently witnessing one of the most politically unlikely events in post revolutionary American history, which I see as a spectacular turn of events.
The political spectrum in America has become almost completely corrupted. Our founding fathers (who are rapidly losing American respect for their own impossible accomplishments) had no intention of political office becoming a profession. Beyond becoming a profession, it has become a scheme, get elected and you’re looking at big money for the rest of your life. Rather it was seen as a necessary service to the country, seen in much the same way as we still do see military service. Nor was government seen as a controlling establishment. Jefferson said, “I have sworn upon the altar of god, eternal hostility to every form of tyranny over the mind of man” (Magnet). Political service was a battle for the freedom of the citizens. We are now punishing crimes for the emotion of hate which has absolutely nothing to do with it. Hate crimes are just one more step towards governmental regulation of thought.
One highly interesting aspect of the time or our founders was surprisingly similar to our own, “fake news.” Jefferson was at first highly favorable to the press, saying,
“The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right,” Jefferson wrote to Edward Carrington in 1787. “And were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers and be capable of reading them” (Bever).
But that dramatically changed as Jefferson was coming into power. The media took an adversarial position against him. Their stories became absolute lies much like we see in our media today. Todays media distortions are not only directed against current Republican leaders but are still being used against founders such as Jefferson himself. Jefferson’s opinion of the media decayed to the point that he claimed, “Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper” (Lattier), which is even truer today, our “modern” media is still reporting the same lies about Jefferson; he was a a heartless, abusive slave owner who fathered children by slave girls, and an atheist… All lies, not only reported by the media, but taught to our children in American schools. In Jeffersons day there were consequences for fake news and several of the dishonest reporters actually lost their professions, but that is no longer the case. Being a member of todays media gives one license to say any damn thing one wants to say and “freedom of the press” (one of the Constitutional values the left is not battling against) protects them from consequence.
Quotes attributed to Thomas Jefferson included:
“Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man.” Which is a bastardization of what he actually said, “this was the real ground of all the attacks on you: those who live by mystery & charlatanerie, fearing you would render them useless by simplifying the Christian philosophy, the most sublime & benevolent, but most perverted system that ever shone on man, endeavored to crush your well earnt, & well deserved fame.” Our modern media is still quoting the bastardized version.
“I have examined all the known superstitions of the world, and I do not find in our particular superstition of Christianity one redeeming feature. They are all alike founded on fables and mythology. Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned. What has been the effect of this coercion? To make one half the world fools and the other half hypocrites; to support roguery and error all over the earth.” The underlined words were penned by Jefferson, the rest was added (fake news).
“Christianity…(has become) the most perverted system that ever shone on man. …Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and imposters led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus.”
What I’m using too many words to get to, is the interesting similarities between Thomas Jefferson and Donald Trump. Both were fabulously successful; both were markedly patriotic and nationalist (which is viewed as a bad thing by the left), and both were challenged by the media in their attempts to make and keep America free and successful. The main-stream media (propagandia) making up lies and ignoring his successes is completely understandable. They are waging a war against our republic and are using the politic of mediocrity (democracy) and it’s party (democrats) as a tool. Their reasoning eludes me completely. What is less easy to comprehend is the hatred for Trump which resides in a large portion of the public, including a lot of republicans. The personal attacks against Trump tend to be rather unspecific. Typical name-calling and slander. For example I’ve been accused of sucking Trump’s “tiny dick” in response to a comment I wrote in reference to the fact that the left is bending over backwards to link Epstein (recently arrested pedophile) to Trump. The list of names I was called by a surprisingly large number of people in the reactions to my comment would fill half a page. Only one of those people even attempted to engage in presenting an argument, which she did quite well, other than the fact that her argument was based on inaccurate reporting by the media, and even she called me an ass (which I may well be, but I exposed none of that proclivity while engaging in the in the commentary in question).
I must confess to skepticism about Donald Trump at the time he entered the campaign. I was particularly leery of his having been pals with the Clintons who are a true crime syndicate hiding behind the protection of having been leftist heroes. So unlike the vast majority who eagerly pick up and grasp the baton of hatred for Trump, I investigated who he was, and it became quite clear. He was and is a crafty and intelligent businessman, AND he is an American patriot and a nationalist. His nationalism being, quite likely, the foundation for his motto, “make America great again!”
The odds against Trump’s success after he announced his candidacy were 25 to 1 against. After campaigning and all the debate these odds were still 5 to 1 against on the night of the election (Shen). His win was considered impossible, but against all odds the underdog won. However this unlikely victory didn’t earn him the respect and admiration one might expect from such a remarkable victory. It actually ignited a hatred for Trump that defied political boundary lines. There are a surprising number of Republican anti-Trumpers who are swearing to vote for his opposition whomever that may be.
So lets talk a look at what the man has done during his time in office. Like it or not, it is a mountain of accomplishment unequaled, in such a time period by any president in history:

…Whew… I’ve got over a hundred more but my fingers are wearing out.
What? You didn’t hear about any of this on the news? Me either.
However, every time I visit a social site such as Fakebook, on line I see. Memes of hatred against Trump.
I could fill pages with these, but they’d all have the same commonalities, no truth, just insults (not only against Trump, but against his voters) and lies and misrepresentations of what Trump has done, “Get ready to pick produce for 8 bucks an hour.” Sure he’s generating jobs, but not jobs that’ll make you rich, which is also a lie since high end job growth is also through the roof.
I wish I could explain, or even comprehend why this hatred exists, even among good and seemingly intelligent friends (I am an academic surrounded by people who demonstrate that intelligence is a weak defense against self-deception). There has always been an air of disregard for the rich, but Trump is not only rich, he’s willing to fight against impossible odds and he wins. The Presidency is not his first. The DC powers hate him because he’s an outsider, not only an outsider but an opponent to their greed. Shortly after his election I received a letter from his desk which included:
THE TRUMP RULE:
Let’s see if congress understands what people pressure is all about.
Salary of retired US Presidents .. . . . . $180,000 FOR LIFE.
Salary of House/Senate members .. . . $174,000 FOR LIFE
This is stupid
Salary of Speaker of the House .. . . . . $223,500 FOR LIFE.
This is really stupid
Salary of Majority / Minority Leaders . . $193,400 FOR LIFE.
Average Salary of a teacher . . .. . . . .. . . . . .. .$40,065
Average Salary of a deployed Soldier . . .. . . .. $38,000
Here’s where the cuts should be made!
Congressional Reform Act of 2017
1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman / woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they’re out of office.
2. Congress (past, present, & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 7/1/17. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women.
Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and go back to work.
TRUMP, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling: “I could end the deficit in five minutes,” he told CNBC. “You just pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election”.
The 26th Amendment ( granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds ) took only three months and eight days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971 – before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc.
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took one (1) year or less to become the law of the land – all because of public pressure.
Trump is asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.
It’s east to see why the powers that be oppose him to the point of hatred, but what American citizen could argue with any of these?
BTW, the image at the top was chosen to encourage anti-Trumpers to read on. It’s hard to get past their defenses… Egoteneoism, you see.
